All About Me
As a curious energetic child, my mom, in her wisdom, decided to channel my energy into dance classes. Little did we know, this decision would spark, a lifelong passion and career. By age 13, I was teaching tap to neighborhood kids in the small foyer of our Huntington Beach home. Movement fascinated me – how to refine it, how to perfect it, and most of all how to teach it. After high school, I continued teaching and expanded my work to larger groups. However, I quickly discovered the challenges of teaching larger groups so, I gravitated to one-on-one personal training where I could focus on each clients needs through personalized attention.
After earning my Fitness Specialist Certification from UC Irvine, I built my career as a Personal Trainer specializing in proper form and designing programs tailored to my clients lifestyle. In 1993 love led me from Southern California to Hawaii, where I continued my journey as a private fitness coach. My husband and I even designed and built a home with a 900 square-foot facility, allowing me to work with a diverse clientele in a space crafted for success.
Life made a huge turn when, at 54 I faced massive loss and grief after cancer took the life of my husband of 24 years. The same year, I also lost my beloved dog and the life I’d built and been comfortable in for decades. To say this life event was debilitating would be an understatement. And when I could finally breathe, I realized something profound. I was no longer the same person I had been before. I was becoming a new version of myself and it was time to discover a new life and, an encore career.
Now living in Dana Point CA, I'm proud to be an ICF accredited Life Coach, along with my lived experience & decades of personal coaching, I'm passionate about supporting men & women in their 50's 60's & 70's as they navigate times in their life that ask them to let go of who they were, and step into who they are becoming.
