I've been reflecting on my 35 year (and counting) career journey..
It's a journey I'm grateful for and, although I didn't expect to be where I am today, there's not much I would have done differently.
It's about embracing change when life makes you. It's about learning to let go of "things" and limiting beliefs. It's about having the courage to evolve while staying authentic – even when that seems impossible.
The short story is, after building a long career I went from living and working at my resort like property in Hawaii I helped construct, to working with some of those same incredible clients, after relocating to California, from across the ocean on a laptop.
Who knew I could work with people anywhere in the world and still be effective!
As I look back, I see not only the blessings and positive growth, but the uncertainty which taught me resilience. With resilience came opportunity - but, only if I recognized it as an "opportunity. Well before my husband was diagnosed with cancer, I felt a disconnect in my business. It was for lack of a better word, "stale". Yet, I didnt really know how to fix it or if, I even wanted to.
On the one hand it was a coaches dream job, on another something was missing. It wasn't until many years later of forcing myself through grief and my own limiting beliefs, that I was able to SEE a path to change my story without losing the best parts of me.
I understand first hand, reinvention is not an easy thing and it's not AT ALL about losing yourself. It's about becoming more of who you are meant to be; no matter how many times you start over, no matter where life takes you.
It's my pleasure to share my journey with others and offer support to create the changes that don't seem possible. To help people discover new stories about themselves, as I did - one chapter at a time.
Aloha 🌺
