Losing your home is more than just losing a place to live; it’s losing the memories the comfort, the sense of security you’ve built over time. It can feel like your whole life has been quickly swept away, leaving behind nothing but uncertainty. As a California native, my heart goes out to everyone affected by the fires. While we always know, the risk exists, facing the reality is truly heartbreaking.
Finding Strength After Loss & Trauma
Resilience doesn’t mean ignoring the pain or pretending everything is OK. It means finding the courage to move forward through the discomfort and uncertainty. It’s about taking one step at a time, even when the path ahead seems unclear. Every step forward, no matter how small, matters.
For those who have lost a home or loved one due to the Los Angeles fires, I know the challenges you’re facing are immense. The emotional toll, the uncertainty about the future, and the pressure to figure out “what’s next.” As an independent woman, it was hard for me to ask for help during my initial time of loss. But I had to get over that. You don’t have to do this alone.
Resilience is built in community – in the support of others who understand your struggle.

I've faced my own losses and know the weight of that pain – the overwhelming grief, the confusion, and the raw emotions that comes with it. I'll never forget a session with my bereavement therapist, when I was dealing with the remains of my life. She looked at me and said, “you have a whole new life ahead of you.” In that moment, I couldn’t even fathom what she meant. All I could think was, but I really liked my old life! At the time, the thought of rebuilding felt impossible. It was uncomfortable, it took time, but little by little, I moved forward, finding my way toward a new chapter in life.
A Gift to Support Your Journey
If you’re struggling to navigate the emotions and uncertainty that come with losing your home, loved one, or helping others who have, I invite you to a complimentary one-on-one or, group Life Coaching session. We can focus on what IS possible for you. Find doable action steps to take now and, look at the best way to slowly reinvent for your current situation. This is a place, to take a moment – to be heard, to reflect, and to explore the first steps toward healing and rebuilding. You don’t need to have all the answers right now. Sometimes, the first step is simply sharing your story and allowing yourself to be supported.
Why would I offer this? I have a deep connection to our state and its people. As a coach dedicated to supporting the human experience for decades, I want to give back and offer support to those who need it most - perhaps my lived experiences of loss and reinvention can be of help to someone in need.
Reinvention: Creating a New Path Forward
When life is turned upside down, there comes a moment of reckoning – a choice to either remain stuck in the pain or take a step toward something new. The road ahead may feel overwhelming and impossible at times. Sometimes all we need is a little motivation, or reassurance we won't have to walk the path alone.
CLOSING THOUGHT
If you’ve never worked with a Life Coach before, this is simply an opportunity to have an experienced coach listen, support, and guide you, as you navigate the impact of the fires, the losses, the rebuilding and the reinvention. If you have, then you know how powerful the experience can be 💛
